I use my art to explore feelings associated with memories and moments. Using photography allows me to convey the multiple dimensions of time and recollection. Because I believe universal truths are embedded wtihin memories stored in the unconscious, my recollections of moments are fragmented into images within my mind. They are both ordered and random, appear in a linear sequence, and come into focus and fade.
The process of journalling by photographing, sketching and record keeping plays a significant role in the development of an idea I might have. The material serves as an archive of data.
